Since joining forces, Telstra has created Telstra Calling for Office 365 (TCO365) – a unique, market leading voice calling service bringing together Microsoft’s leading productivity apps, Skype for Business and Teams with Telstra’s leading voice, networks and services.

Telstra Calling for Office 365 paves the way for businesses to move voice services into Microsoft cloud, reducing the burden on telephony infrastructure management. While getting the benefits from a “Pay As You Go” plan and quality that you trust from Telstra’s nationwide and global footprint.

EASY NUMBER MANAGEMENT

Wireless Communications can assist you to port or migrate your existing phone numbers into Office 365. Allocate PSTN numbers natively to each user using the Office 365 administration portal – the same portal you already use to manage your Office 365 licences. You can also use this portal to allocate new phone numbers to users as you grow, or you can reallocate numbers as staff change roles or locations.

MAKE & RECEIVE CALLS FROM THE CLOUD

Simplify calling with one business number to make and receive local, national long distance, international, mobile, audio or video calls via Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams. Simplify budgeting with Telstra’s predictable monthly calling plans. You can choose to include unlimited local, national and calls to mobile. Standard charges apply for international calls and Premium numbers.

CALL HANDLING FEATURES

Experience Microsoft Office 365 along with the call handling functions you expect from traditional phones. This includes but is not limited to call hold, transfer, group pickup, call forwarding, call park and voice mail. What Microsoft Office 365 licences are required for Telstra Calling for Office 365?

You must have the below pre-requisite licence subscriptions in Office 365 for each of your users in order for TCO365 to be utilised:
    • Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5
    • Microsoft 365 Enterprise E3 + Phone System
    • Microsoft Office 365 Enterprise E5
    • Microsoft Office 365 Enterprise E3 + Phone System
    • Microsoft Office 365 Enterprise E1 + Phone System
    • Microsoft Office Business Premium + Skype for Business (Plan 2) + Phone System
    • Microsoft Office 365 Education A5 for Faculty (must have a valid school email address to qualify)
    • Microsoft Office 365 Education A5 for Students (must have a valid school email address to qualify)
    • Office 365 Enterprise E5 (NFP)
    • Office 365 Enterprise E3 (NFP) + Phone System
    • Office 365 Enterprise E1 (NFP) + Phone System
    • Common Area Phone

The Phone System SKU is a mandatory requirement as it provides calling capabilities that supports Telstra Calling for Office 365. E5 subscriptions and Common Area Phone include Phone System.

Do I need to purchase pre-requisite Microsoft licences from Telstra?

If you currently purchase your licences from another Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), then you will need to move your pre-requisite licence subscriptions to Telstra in order to purchase Telstra Calling for Office 365.

Customers under a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) can continue with their pre-requisite licences provided from Microsoft directly, and purchase Telstra Calling for Office 365 separately from Telstra.

Does Telstra have to be my Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP)?

Yes, you must authorise Telstra as your delegate CSP in order to purchase Telstra Calling for Office 365. This is even the case when your pre-requisite licence subscriptions are with Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA).

Why does Telstra have to be my Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP)?

Telstra must be a CSP for your Office 365 service in order to provide assurance and support for this voice calling service. Telstra must therefore remain an ongoing administrator of your tenancy for the duration you are using TCO365. Telstra would not be in a position to comply with assurance service levels and therefore reserves the right to cancel your Telstra Calling for Office 365 as it becomes an unsupported service configuration.

In addition to this, all current and future pre-requisite licences must be linked to the TCO365 licences in the Microsoft Administrator portal in order for Telstra to provide support of the service.

How do I purchase?

Telstra Calling for Office 365 is provided on a monthly plan per user attached to compatible Office 365 licences (purchased separately). You must choose one of the below calling plan types across all users. The service is purchased and billed monthly via the Telstra Apps Marketplace.

Wireless Communications will assist you to evaluate your current call spend and recommend the most appropriate calling plan for your business. We can then assist with the application and ordering process to ensure that the experience is seamless and your business continuity is maintained throughout the transition to TCO365.

CHOOSE YOUR CALLING PLAN


• A range of Customer Experience Packages may be included in the price of your calling plan, depending on volume of seats purchased. Refer to Customer Experience Packages for details.

• All charges for monthly plan and usage billed as per standard options in Telstra Apps Marketplace. This includes Credit Card billing and Flexcabs billing

• All calls usage rated are billed via Flexcabs billing

• Essentials and Premium Calling plans are not applicable for Call Centre users

• Calls to international and premium number destinations are not included in the Calling Plan, and therefore are rated and charged on the Flexcabs bill according to calling rates

HARDWARE

Selecting the most appropriate hardware for users and collaboration can influence the success of a deployment and the efficiencies that can be gained from TCO365.
